Party Drugs and Unsafe Sex

ACT, along with four partnering organizations, has received a grant from Health Canada to undertake research on how gay and bisexual men interpret the use of party drugs, especially in relation to (un)safe sex and HIV risk.

Party drugs include Ecstasy, Ketamine or K, and GHB among others.

This 18-month project starts in November 2002.

The agency partners are:

• the Alliance for South Asian AIDS Prevention (ASAP),
• Asian Community AIDS Services (ACAS),
• the Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention (Black CAP), and
• the Centre for Spanish Speaking Peoples (CSSP).
